Children's Ministry
We love children at CTK, and we love the opportunity to welcome them into our worshiping community. That is why we have developed a children's ministry that is designed to introduce children of any age to the idea of Christ and his church and to help nurture their growth.
At CTK, we don't view the Sunday morning nursery or children's church as simply a place for babysitting while parents attend church. Rather, these groups introduce children to the idea of gathering together in worship in a way that is sensitive to the needs and abilities of each age group. We want children at CTK to like the idea of going to church on Sunday, seeing friends there, and worshiping God.
Every Sunday morning, we offer
- Nursery for infants and children who cannot walk
- Nursery for children who can walk (up to age 3)
- Children's teaching for children ages 3-5
- Children's teaching for children ages 6-9
We know that it is hard to raise a child who knows and loves Jesus. Many of us have not seen this modeled by our own parents, and all of us struggle to some extent with what Christian parenting should look like in the (somewhat) controlled chaos of everyday life. Therefore, CTK's children's ministry will constantly seek to equip you with the tools, knowledge, and support you need to nurture your children in a way that is both godly and effective. At CTK, we are convinced that one of the best ways to expand the kingdom of God is to raise up little citizens of that kingdom. We don't want to take a passive stance towards our children; we want to be instrumental in the earliest years of their life, showing them Jesus and his love for them.
