Geoff Bradford, Pastor.  Prior to Christ the King he planted and pastored liberti fairmount in Center City Philly for 8 years.  Geoff & Susan are native Tennesseans who both attended Davidson College...thus making them Triangle neutral in school affinities.  Geoff is also a graduate of Westminster Seminary in suburban Philadelphia.  Susan was an art history major and is passionate about theology, art, beauty, and raising their 6 sons as Kingdom warriors.  She is also regional coordinator for Parakaleo—a ministry for wives of church planters.  You can read more about Parakaleo and its ministry and goals.  Geoff loves cycling and Bluegrass music and being a father. Bruce Benedict, Director of Worship and Community Life. Prior to moving to Raleigh, Bruce helped start a new church in London - CamdenTown Church (IPC) and worked as a wine advisor with Oddbins, Ltd.   He is the founder of Cardiphonia, a collaboration for worship-arts, and the shorter catechism project.  Bruce holds degrees from James Madison University (BA, Philosophy & Religion) and Reformed Theological Seminary (M.Div).  He and his wife Pj live in the Cameron Village neighborhood. Pj works in the Triangle area in film and theatre having completed an MA at Central School of Speech and Drama in London.. Alice Spickard, Family Ministries Coordinator.   Alice and her husband of 17 years, David, have been at Christ the King since its inception and have served the church in a variety of capacities over the years.  They have four children and spend a lot of time driving them to various school and sports activities. Alice has degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BA – Sociology and International Studies) and UNC-Greenboro (M Ed – Elementary Education and Counseling).  Alice leads our Family ministries, and brings both a personal passion and lots of experience as a mother to this ministry.  You can email about ways to volunteer or with any questions about this ministry.

ELDERS

David Hill and his wife, Meg, have been members of Christ the King for nearly seven years, and he has served on the Session for the past year and a half. David and Meg met in high school in Greensboro NC, and got married in 1997 after going in different directions to college— Davidson for Meg, NC State for David. Since then, they have lived mostly in Raleigh, with a two-year interlude in Boston. They have two young daughters who keep us busy and entertained.  Meg works as a school counselor and soon-to-be AP Psychology teacher at St. David’s School, and David a professor of architecture at North Carolina State University. They enjoy traveling, watching sports (David more than Meg), reading (Meg more than David), and sharing dinner with friends who know how to cook better than they do.  Email David .

David Spickard grew up in Nashville, TN and has lived in Raleigh with his wife, Alice, and their four children since 1999.  David and Alice have been married for 17 years after meeting at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill where they went to college.  Having received his MBA from Indiana University, David is the President/CEO ofJobs for Life, a national ministry based in Raleigh that equips churches and community organizations to help people in need find and keep sustainable jobs.  The Spickards enjoy eating, cooking for others, hanging out with their neighbors, volunteering at school, playing and watching sports, and wearing light blue.  You can email David

James Sutton grew up in Miami, FL, Charlotte, NC, and Asheville, NC.  James moved to Raleigh as to study at NCSU and he was a charter member of Christ the King when it first started holding meetings in 1998.  After graduating from NC State, James attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando where he completed a Masters of Divinity.  He currently works as the Director of Christian Life (Chaplain) at St. David’s School. After growing up in Wilmington, Katie Sutton graduated from UNC.   She currently works as an internal auditor for the Pantry.  After intense pre-marital therapy James & Katie were able to overcome their NCSU / UNC rivalry and were married in 2006, and have two children.  The Suttons enjoy college basketball, unique board games, and hanging out in any of the fun downtown Raleigh events that take place near their home.  You can contact James .
