10 Questions with Kelley Ann Frye

Kelley Frye

Kelley Ann is the administrator at CTK.

1. Describe (in 10 words or less) what you do as the administrator.

I manage incoming/outgoing funds and projects as they arise.

2. What drew you to this job?

I really desire to lift as much of the administrative weight off of the pastoral staff as I can.

3. What part of your job is most excites you?

Honestly, just diving in more with the local church by taking advantage of how God made me.

4. Where were you born? Where did you grow up?

I was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan (which is just fun to say). I have spent about half of my life in Michigan and about half of it in the Carolinas.

5. Where did you go to school (high school / college / grad school)?  What did you major in, and why were you drawn to that?

Clemson University is my alma mater...Go Tigers! I majored in Marketing and Graphic Communications.

6. What else have you done for work (paid and volunteer)?

I worked in sales at Blackbaud (a software company) in Charleston for a few years out of college. Since moving to Raleigh, I have worked at NC State with Campus Outreach and, actually, in the office at Christ the King.

7. When did you become a Christian?  What were the circumstances?

My freshman year of high school, many circumstances in my life changed and I realized for the first time that I couldn’t handle life without trusting God more than myself. By grace, my grandparents and my parents gave me wonderful foundation to draw upon and I began knowing, for myself, God’s well-proven character and my need to repent of my self-righteous approach to life.

8. Tell us about your family.

I  have a wonderful husband (Keith) who serves and seeks the Lord. No kids, yet. No dogs, yet.

9. What do you do with your free time?

I enjoy spending time with Keith, being outside, traveling to see all of our great family/friends, and diving into life with people.

10.  What is the best book you have read in the past year?

I just finished reading When Life and Beliefs Collide by Carolyn Custis James. It is about a woman’s need to increase in theology, defined as knowing God, in order to not collapse when life gets tough. I recommend it.
