Members of the CTK community are personally involved in the church's vision to see people changed, our community renewed, and the city transformed. This space will be dedicated to highlighting cases where the CTK vision is worked out. In this report, Liz Poole talks about her work with Campus Outreach at NC State .

I started attending CTK about seven months ago when I moved to the Triangle area to begin working with the Campus Outreach Ministry at NC State. Nine other staff member and myself make up our team here at NC State.  We are all drawn together by a mutual desire to tell college students about the good news of Jesus Christ and how they can come to follow him as Lord and Savior.   We also want go beyond merely telling them about Jesus; we want to show them what a life following Christ looks like.  Much of what we do here has to do with equipping them to proclaim the gospel message in their own life situations.

Our most recent event was our Christmas Conference in Atlanta, Ga. Thirty-eight students from NC State came and participated in seminars that covered topics such as biblical leadership, prayer, and evangelism. The highlight for me was watching students gather together and talk about what God had showed them about themselves and his relationship with them during their time at the conference.  A few students came to trust in Jesus for the first time in their lives, and many enjoyed pulling away from the hustle and bustle of life for a few days to develop a relationship with their Lord.

Now that winter break is over, and students have returned to campus, we have an exciting semester ahead of us.  In this and many other areas of life, I have come to highly value the prayers of Jesus' church in general and CTK in particular.  The Campus Outreach staff comes from a variety of backgrounds and ministers to a diverse group of students, so we always need prayers for unity and wisdom among our staff team.

Likewise many in our student leadership are new to leadership roles just as they are new to the Christian life, and they are in great need of encouragement and strength to continue in this work.  It's a privilege to be a part of this work.

Personally, this past year has been challenging and encouraging, and CTK has become for me a wonderful place to build relationships, encounter the good news about Jesus, and worship God.  I am so blessed to be a part of CTK and so thankful for the friendships I have made here.
